The "Wood Witch" is a 20" x 30" multi medium painting/drawing Ann Del created over a period of two years. It is different in many ways. The fictional creatures surrounded by a mythical forest reveals many small detailed objects embedded in its colors. The painting includes mediums of pen and ink, water color, pastel, oil and air brush combined.
The painting was released and printed on the cover of Transversions, a Science Fiction magazine monthly.
The painting was nominated first place in color catagory in the 1982 NonCon 5 (Edmonton, Oct 8-11) Prix AURORA Awards by the Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Association , a Science Fiction writers and artists conference that takes place each year. This was the first Canvention to have a nationally distributed ballot.
