The Pacheedaht First Nations Campground is located on a two kilometer long beach that stretches from the north fork of the San Juan River to the southern fork at Harris Cove. This beach is a pristine
length of unspoiled coastline. It is the start of the famous "West Coast Trail" and location of Parks Canada Administration
building.
How to get here:
Airports are located near Victoria and Nanaimo.
Access by car to Vancouver Island is by the BC Ferry Service. BC Ferries has a fleet of over 40 vessels serving Vancouver Island and BC's Sunshine coast. From the mainland, ships depart from
Tsawwassen to Schwartz Bay, (Vancouver Island). From Schwartz Bay to Victoria is a 32 km (20 miles) drive. There is another terminal at Departure Bay (Nanaimo) and also at Dukes Point Terminal ten
minutes south of Nanaimo. On the mainland side are the Horseshoe Bay Terminal in West Vancouver. Other Islands serviced by BC Ferries include Salt Spring, North and South Pender Island, Galiano,
Mayne, Saturna, and Texada.
