Saturday
Craft Fair and Flea Market
10:00am - 4:00pm at the Recreation Centre on Parkinson Road
First Memorial "Little Ollie" Fishing Derby
Adults only (saltwater), entry fee $25 and includes BBQ lunch. Begins at dawn on Saturday and ends at 2:00pm on Sunday. Presentations are at 2:15pm Sunday at the Pacheedaht Beach site.
Area 20 only ( no Swiftsure Banks, please). BC Tidal Water Regulations apply.
Weigh-in at the Marina and Hovy's wharf
Grand Prize - Largest Chinook: 2 Mustang Floater suits
2nd Prize - 2nd Largest Chinook: Full-day charter from Silver Springs
3rd Prize - 3rd Largest Chinook: Overnight stay for two at "Alcatraz"
Hidden Weight: $100
Largest Bottom Fish: Mooching rod
Notice: In the event of a tie, one person will dress both fish and weigh again.
Kid's Derby
Fresh and saltwater derby age 12 and under, entry fee $5.00 and includes BBQ lunch.
Y ou may fish anywhere in the Port of San Juan, rivers and lakes around Port Renfrew.
Begins at dawn on Saturday until 2:oopm on Sunday, weigh in at the Marina or at Hovy's wharf.
Presentations at 2:15pm at the Pacheedaht Beach site. Each participant must bait hook and reel in the fish.
We have all kinds of prizes for:
Largest salmon
Largest freshwater fish
Largest bottom fish
Youngest fisherman to catch a fish
Largest combined weight
Hidden weight
Beach BBQ with Beer Garden and Music
Begin serving at 1:00pm. Adults $10, kids under 12 $5 and kids under 6 are free. Includes fresh bbq'd salmon or hambuger or hot dog, salad, rice and fruit. Pop or juice willbe available.
Anything that floats but a boat race
2:00pm race begins at the Island Road bridge to the Cove bridge. Entry fee $10.
Regulations: Your floatation craft may be constructed of any materials which are not part of a boat and never have been, with the exception of oars. Let your imagination run amuck, slap something together and have some fun! Personal floatation devices must be worn by all participants ( in case your idea didn't work very well). Port Renfrew Ambulance challenges YOU!
1st Prize: 1/2 day Charter with Walk On Water
2nd Prize: Trout Rod
3rd Prize: 2 nights at the Osprey Cabins
Kid's Dance
6:oopm - 9:00pm at the Rec Centre, ages 7-13. Younger children must be accompanied by an adult. FREE, but bring money for treats on sale by th eEmergency Services Cadets.
Adult's Dance on the Beach with Beer Garden
Pacheeedaht Beach site, 9:00pm - 1:00am. Entry fee ( to bber garden) singles $10, couples $15. Families may attend outside the beer garden enclosure. Come have fun with us!
